Mary Jo Farrow, RN BSN
Who is TLC Homecare Ltd.
Mary Jo Farrow was born in New Jersey, USA and is registered nurse who graduated from the Mountainside Hospital School of Nursing. She began her Nursing Career at St. Mary’s Hospital in Orange, New Jersey before venturing to Boston where she worked at the New England Deaconess Hospital (a Harvard teaching hospital). She spent several years working in the New England Deaconess Thoracic Surgery Step Down Unit gaining valuable skills as she was exposed to the development of cutting edge medical treatment daily. While working she completed her BSN degree at Boston University. She also worked as a team leader at Peer Review Analysis/CORE, a consulting company for insurance claims.
As time progressed and upon the birth of her first son, Mary Jo and her Bermudian husband Jonathan, decided to move to Bermuda. Rather quickly Mary Jo found use of her skills in the community as a District nurse, Community nurse and a Private nurse, something she rather enjoyed.
In 2007, Mary Jo discovered her father was extremely ill. She decided to return to New Jersey to care for her father and was with him the last 3 months of his life. This rather personal experience led Mary Jo to appreciate the need for families to have help with their loved ones who would like to be at home and receive care.
Upon returning to Bermuda, Mary Jo met with a fellow nurse, and together they decide to bring to Bermuda a home care agency to assist others at home.
LTC Solutions Ltd. had their first client September 2008 and has worked towards helping as many as they can. The company gradually grew and rebranded in 2017 as TLC Homecare Ltd. TLC Homecare Ltd. became an Approved Home Medical Agency through the Bermuda Health Council in April 2019. In July 2020 TLC Homecare Ltd. was recognized as a registered Premier Level Healthcare Provider. TLC Homecare Ltd. continues to grow and has exciting new services to offer in the near future.
TLC Homecare Ltd. is a caring team dedicated to care for you in your home. TLC Homecare Ltd. care workers are registered with the Bermuda Nursing Council. They are experienced and caring individuals. We have assisted hundreds of families to care for their loved ones in their own homes. We have decreased the stress of caring for a loved one. We understand the crisis and assist you in the time of need.
While the company continues to grow, it is firmly based upon Mary Jo’s experience and values from looking after her dad and providing that same care, compassion and to a large degree, love for those that need care at home.
